Romantic Pampering

Treatments are not just reserved for the ladies at Grayshott Spa, men are welcome too….and last Valentine’s Day there were four proposals from guests staying at Grayshott Spa for the weekend!  Click here for more information on our special Valentine’s Indulgence package at Grayshott Spa.

A Grayshott Spa weekend is a healthy and relaxing way to escape the stresses and strains of everyday life and spend some quality time with your partner.

The number of men visiting spas is growing all the time. However men are often after something a little different to women when they check in. Most don’t feel especially drawn to the idea of “pampering” – the word itself can send shivers down their backs! Most men simply want to appreciate that their skin feels and looks better, or muscles feel relieved and seem to shy away from being cocooned in mud wraps, or anything that appears too feminine or alternative.  At Grayshott Spa we have a whole host of treatments for men from specially manicures and massages for when they have finished on the tennis court or in the gym.

The most popular treatments for men at Grayshott Spa are:

Sports Massage Therapy – Massages are always popular as they have an obvious, recognisable physical purpose. We all, at one time or another, feel the odd nagging muscular twinge or more serious pull, while severe stress-pains and tension may keep you awake at night. A good massage can get right to the root of these problems, and leave you physically and mentally chilled-out afterwards, as well as feeling back in control of your body.

Sauna – I think men particularly enjoy heat rooms as they have a long tradition in many cultures, from Turkish baths to Native American steam lodges, and heat feels like the best kind of self-indulgence. If you’re new to heat treatment, you’ll find the unusual sensations it offers hugely appealing. Like massage, heat is associated with the relief of muscular stress from sport, exercise or just bad posture. A good steam or sauna will help warm your muscles before a deep massage, and so make the pressure more effective.
